Tallow, Changes, and Updates

Hi Friends!
It is no secret that I am extremely passionate about the products I offer. I would never sell something that I, myself, would not use. Because of this, I spend hours, upon HOURS of research amongst different ingredients that are going to add value to my product offering.
The first time I heard about tallow, was actually before I even became a soap maker. I, like many of you, found myself entranced by a tik tok video of a woman with the most soothing voice, educating her viewers on rendering tallow. Because It wasn't realevent to me at the time - I didn't soak up much of the knowledge she was sharing but merely just enjoyed her soothing voice and watching the process. Fast forward to about 8 months ago, and that is when I understood that what this woman was teaching us, was relevent to the quality/type of soap I am able to provide (and other products).
Market season runs from October/Novemberish, through April/Mayish - depending on weather. And in this period of time, I am normally SO beyond busy that I don't have the time to experiment with new formulations, ingredients and processes. However, it is currently JULY- which means your girl has been in the LAB. I got my hands on some yummy tallow- and last night I poured my first few batches of soap with my new formulation. SO FAR so good- however soap takes 4-6 weeks to cure - so I won't know how much I love it until then. I also have plans of formulating a tallow based cream/lotion/salve (probably a small number of each).
So that's the tallow update!
I have received such incredible feedback surrounding the moisturizing body sprays I offer- however I can admit I was severely over charging. That has been corrected, and I will soon be offering both 4 and 8 oz options. These are a clean and gentle alternative to body sprays from your favorite retailers- but they also come with some skin nourishing benefits. We call that a win/win/win.
Next update. Every batch of body cream/lushious cream/body butter I have made, has some stark differences. I know this because I use it myself regularly. I have to admit that some of my beginning batches were not what I was aiming for- with regards to quick absorpbment and light feeling. I have shared with many of you, I am extremely picky on what I put on my skin with direct regards to how it leaves my skin feeling. Because of this- the new formula I created, identified as the summer formula, has corrected those issues. Specifically it is light, quick absorbing, feels incredible. It is truly great after shaving, a day in the pool, or if you're like me, that summer time dry skin.
Men's line. I have always, ALWAYS made it a point to include a "mens option" in all things I offer- but I am currently working on some gentleman specific products to include their own "line" of clean and gentlebody care. While it's not typically a guys first priority to indulge in self care, it will always be important to me to provide options for everyone.
Persephone had a half brother- Hephaestus (pronounced "huh fay stuhs"). who was the Greek god of Forge and Fire, known as the blacksmith for the Gods. The men's line will be known as "Hephaestus' Hand".
Much of an artists work is inspired by what they are passionate about- and recently my son and I have gotten into dirt biking. Which means, my next collection of soap has a theme. Inspired by some of the biggest brands of dirt bikes, and color schemes of riding gear- the motorcross collection will be available in august!
I think that's all for now! Hope your summer time is off to an incredible start!
Kind Regards,
Tasia
